Man shot in West Town

A 35-year-old was shot in the West Town neighborhood Thursday night.

About 9:30 p.m., the man was shot once in the abdomen on the 2900 block of West Walton Street, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Police initially said he was shot twice. Additional details were not immediately available.
