A 55-year-old man was killed in a shooting Friday evening in the North Side Uptown neighborhood, police said.

At 6:13 p.m., he was in the 900 block of West Wilson when a male began shooting at another male and he was struck in the chest, Chicago Police said. He was not the intended target of the shooting.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 6:51 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
