A man was killed and two other people were wounded in a West Lawn neighborhood shooting Sunday evening on the Southwest Side.

The group was outside about 7 p.m. in the 6200 block of South Kenneth when someone walked up and started shooting, according to Chicago Police.

Roberto Rodriguez Jr., 21, was shot multiple times, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 1:10 a.m. Monday, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived on the block where the shooting happened.

A 17-year-old boy and 24-year-old man, both shot in the leg, later showed up at Mount Sinai Hospital. Their conditions were stabilized, police said.

The shooting was thought to be gang-related, police said. No one was in custody as of Monday afternoon.

Rodriguez was among 67 weekend shooting victims in Chicago, 11 of whom died.
