A man was stabbed to death Tuesday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Ronnie Hutchen, 28, was found about 3:50 p.m. lying on the sidewalk in the 600 block of North Lotus with a stab wound to the abdomen, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Hutchen, who lived in the 5300 block of West Ferdinand, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

Area North detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
