A man was wounded in a West Englewood neighborhood shooting Wednesday evening on the South Side.

About 7:15 p.m., the 29-year-old was outside in the 1200 block of West 72nd Place when he heard gunshots and realized he’d been hit in the lower left leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.

Eight hours earlier, a 15-year-old boy was shot about three blocks away.
