A man was shot late Monday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

At 11:56 p.m., the 21-year-old was walking in the 2900 block of West Walnut when someone walked up, fired shots, then ran away, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the hand and leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
