Four people were shot Tuesday night in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

Two men and two women were standing in front of a restaurant about 10:10 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Ashland when a group of people walked out of a vacant lot nearby and fired shots at them, according to Chicago Police.

A 34-year-old woman shot in the right leg and a 24-year-old man shot in the left leg were both taken to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. A 59-year-old woman who was shot in the left knee was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, while a 22-year-old man who was shot in the right arm was taken to Stroger Hospital. All of their conditions were stabilized.

Police said both men are documented gang members.
