Man shot in Lawndale

A man was shot early Wednesday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

At 1:57 a.m., the 19-year-old was headed to his girlfriend’s house when someone fired shots in his direction in the 1200 block of South Avers, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
