A man was shot in the arm in the Southwest Side Marquette Park neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

About 2:30 p.m. in the 6500 block of South Whipple, the 20-year-old heard gunfire and realized he was shot in the lower left forearm, according to Chicago Police. The shooter fled on foot to an older model, dark colored Chevrolet Suburban.

The 20-year-old victim was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
