A 17-year-old boy was shot Thursday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Someone shot the teen in the left leg at 4:27 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Halsted, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital,  where his condition was stabilized, police said.
