A man was shot early Thursday in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 34-year-old was driving about 1 a.m. in the 5900 block of South Kedzie when someone in another vehicle fired at him, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left shoulder and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
