A 16-year-old boy was critically wounded in a shooting Friday night in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood.

The boy was shot in the left side and left hand in the 3800 block of West Augusta about 8:30 p.m., according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
