Two people were wounded in a shooting Friday morning in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

A 23-year-old man was in the 6800 block of South Stony Island Avenue at 9:01 a.m. when two males on bicycles saw him and started shooting at him, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the left leg and lower back, and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police said.

A 32-year-old woman who was leaving a store nearby when the shooting started was also struck in the shoulder, according to police. She transported herself to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was listed in fair condition.
