A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Thursday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 39-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle about 11:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Lavergne when another vehicle pulled up and some inside began shooting, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.
