Two men were shot and wounded near Douglas Park in Lawndale on the city’s West Side, according to the police, who said it happened around 8:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of South California Avenue.

One of the pair, a 41-year-old man, was shot in the thigh and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, and the other, in his 30s, was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back, the police said.
