A 4-year-old boy was being treated at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge after being hitby a van Saturday afternoon at O’Hare Airport.

The boy and his father were in a crosswalk on the lower level of Terminal 1 around 2 p.m. when the van driver, who wasn’t identified, struck him while trying to turn, according to the police.

They said the driver didn’t see the boy and was ticketed for failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care.
