A man was shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side early Saturday.

The 25-year-old was sitting on a crate in the 1300 block of South Lawndale about 1:30 a.m. when he was shot in both forearms, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition stabilized, police said.
