2 shot in North Lawndale

A man and woman were shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side early Sunday.

The two — both 23 — were shot about 1:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Kildare, according to Chicago Police.

The woman was shot in the right shoulder and suffered a graze wound to her hand, police said. The man, who is a documented gang member, was shot in the right hand.

Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.
