One man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting early Monday in south suburban Robbins, police said.

The shooting happened about 1:15 a.m. in the 13500 block of St. Louis Avenue in Robbins, according to Cook County sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari.

A 30-year-old man was killed in the shooting and a 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, Ansari said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

Additional information was not immediately available Monday morning as the investigation is ongoing.
