The death of a man found in a driveway more than two months ago in south suburban Park Forest has been ruled an accident.

Officers responded about 5:50 a.m. July 7 for a call of a person unresponsive in a driveway outside a home in the 200 block of Miami Street, according to Park Forest police.

Kenneth M. Dumas, 22, was dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 1600 block of Theodore Street in Joliet.

Investigators believe the man suffered self-inflicted injuries, police said.

The autopsy results were initially pending, but have since revealed that he died of exsanguination due to an incised wound of the right forearm, according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled an accident.
