Police are searching for a man who exposed himself to a girl Wednesday morning in the Cottage Grove Heights neighborhood on the South Side.

About 8:40 a.m., the suspect slowed his vehicle alongside the girl in the 9600 block of South University, with the passenger side window lowered, said, “Hey, come here,” according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The girl then saw that the man’s genitals were exposed, police said.

He is described as a black man, between 25 and 30 years old, with low-cut black hair, a mustache, a goatee and a wide nose, police said. The suspect was wearing a blue shirt and grey jogging pants and driving a dark grey, newer model four-door Buick.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Area South detectives at (312) 747-8271.
