Man shot in Austin

A 29-year-old man was shot early Saturday morning in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

About 2 a.m., the man was standing in the 800 block of North Latrobe Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to West Suburban Hospital and is in good condition, police said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

About 6 hours earlier, another man was shot a block away.
