14-year-old shot in Lawndale

A teenage boy was shot early Sunday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the South Side.

About 3:45 a.m., the 14-year-old was standing in the street in the 3900 block of West Cermak Road when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the buttocks and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
