A man was wounded in a shooting late Monday in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 25-year-old was driving at 11:32 p.m. in the 3100 block of West Pershing when someone in a gray minivan shot at him as he pulled alongside it, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the back, neck and head and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said he is a documented gang member.
