A man was charged with a burglary attempt in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.

At 7:22 p.m. Monday, Delvon McCune, 24, damaged a door as he attempted to gain access through the back of a residence in the 800 block of West Aldine Avenue, according to Chicago Police. He was taken into custody a short distance away.

McCune was charged with a  felony count of attempted burglary, police said.

McCune, of the 6800 block of South Hermitage Avenue, appeared in court Wednesday where bond was set at $200,000, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. His next court date is Monday.
