A man was shot repeatedly Thursday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 39-year-old man was in the 0-100 block of West 112th Place at 5:35 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the arm and abdomen, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.

A police source said the victim is a documented gang member.
