At least three armed robberies and home invasions were reported within 30 minutes of each other Thursday in the Beverly, West Beverly and Morgan Park neighborhoods on the South and Far South sides.

A man entered or attempted to enter residences and when he was confronted by homeowners he pulled out a handgun and demanded property, according to Chicago Police.

The most recent incident happened at 9:56 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of West 108th Place, police said. The other two happened at 9:45 p.m. Thursday in the 10600 block of South Talman and at 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the 9000 block of South Leavitt.

Another similar incident happened at 3:35 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 10200 block of South Leavitt, police said.

The suspect was described as a 30- to 35-year-old black man, standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 175 pounds, police said. He had short hair, a mustache and drove a white van.
