A 21-year-old woman died Friday afternoon, the day after she was injured a crash in west suburban Maywood.

Megan Jones suffered multiple injuries in the crash Thursday near South 1st Avenue and Harrison Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Jones, who lived in the 1000 block of 2nd Street in LaSalle, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where she was pronounced dead at 12:18 p.m. Friday, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy Monday ruled her death an accident.

Additional information on the crash was not immediately available early Tuesday.
