The Bears made two waiver claims Sunday, adding center Eric Kush and cornerback Cre’Von LeBlanc to help fill two holes on their roster.
Kush, best known for his stint on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” and an obsession with tank tops, spent last year as a backup center for the Rams. He appeared in three games, starting one, for the 2013 Chiefs.
LeBlanc, an undrafted free agent this year from Florida Atlantic, had a strong camp with the Patriots, recording a one-handed interception against the Saints.
The Bears had the 10th spot on the waiver order. Kush could supplant Cornelius Edison at center, while LeBlanc will be insurance at a spot where the Bears’ three best cornerbacks are injured.
To make room for the two, plus free agent Logan Paulsen, the Bears waived center Cornelius Edison, cornerback/safety Demontre Hurst and tight end Khari Lee.
