A man was shot during a robbery Tuesday night in the Lake Meadows neighborhood on the South Side.

About 11:50 p.m., the 32-year-old was in a vehicle in the 400 block of East 33rd Street when two males walked up and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police.

Gunfire erupted and the man suffered a gunshot wound to the right hand, police said. He drove himself to Mercy Hospital and his condition was stabilized.
