Police issued a community alert Tuesday about two residential burglaries on the Northwest Side.

In each burglary, someone forcibly entered a home through the front or back door and stole property from inside, according to the alert from Chicago Police.

Oneburglary happened between 7 and 10:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of North Kildare, and the other happened between 1 and 10:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of North Kenneth, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.

The man, 24, was found by a tenant with two gunshot wounds to the head in the entry way of the complex in the 7800 block of South Laflin Street about 1:30 a.m., police said.
State troopers responding to the shooting about 8:10 p.m. found the woman, 25, with injuries considered life threatening, fire officials and Illinois state police said.

Jaylun Sanders, 21, faces two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting. A second man, 20-year-old Kameron Abram, faces weapons and trespassing charges, police said.
