Man shot in Gresham alley

A man was shot in the ankle on Wednesday evening in the South Side Gresham neighborhood.

The 30-year-old heard gunfire about 6:45 p.m. in an alley near the 7900 block of South Laflin when he realized he was hit, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.
