A 16-year-old boy was shot Monday afternoon in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

He was walking at 4:35 p.m. in the 3700 block of West 13th Street when he heard gunshots and realized he was shot in his leg, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
