A man robbed a bank inside a grocery store Tuesday morning in northwest suburban Des Plaines.

The non-takeover robbery happened about 11:15 a.m. at the TCF Bank branch in the Jewel-Osco at 1500 S.Lee St. in Des Plaines, according to the FBI.

The suspect, a thin, 5-foot-10 Hispanic man in his 40s, was last seen leaving the area in a cab, authoritiessaid. He was wearing a black red and white knit hat with “Chicago” printed on it, along with a plaid scarf, brown leather jacket, and thick white gloves.

The fatal attack occurred in Homan Square.
One of the wounded, a 32-year-old man, was driving down the street when he was struck by gunfire, police said.
The 34-year-old was crossing the street just before 8:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Columbus Avenue when she was struck by a black SUV.
