A 38-year-old man was shot Friday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

He was sitting on a porch at 3:27 p.m. in the 5900 block of South Carpenter when a red SUV drove by and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered gunshot wounds to a hand and foot, and took himself to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.
