A man was stabbed during an argument early Saturday on the Near North Side.

At 5:53 a.m., the 37-year-old was arguing with a male in the 800 block of North State Street when the male pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the shoulder, according to Chicago Police.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

The suspect ran away and was not in custody as of Saturday morning, police said. Area Central detectives are investigating.
