A man was found dead in a porta-potty Sunday morning in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

Officers responded to a call of a person down shortly after 6 a.m. and found the man lying inside the portable bathroom in the alley of the 1400 block of West Jonquil Terrace, according to Chicago Police.

He was dead at the scene, and there were no visible signs of injury, authorities said.

An autopsy Monday did not rule on the cause or manner of the man’s death, with final results pending further investigation, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s officer, which has not released his name.

Area North detectives are conducting a death investigation.
