A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday night in both hands in the South Side Hyde Park neighborhood.

About 9:25 p.m., the boy was walking on the street in the 5300 block of South Maryland when someone from a vehicle driving by fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
