A man was wounded in a shooting Wednesday evening in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

Someone in a passing, white vehicle fired shots at the 49-year-old about 5 p.m. in the 600 block of North Lamon, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. His condition had stabilized.
