A teenage boy was shot late Tuesday in the McKinley Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 17-year-old was shot in the left hand about 11:30 p.m. near 37th and Hoyne, according to Chicago Police. The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately known.

He showed up at Mercy Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
