A 31-year-old man was killed in a rollover crash early Sunday on Interstate 57 near the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Christopher W. Watts was driving a silver 2005 Chevrolet Malibu north on I-57 near 105th Street at a “high rate of speed” when he lost control of the car and it rolled over and struck a guardrail, according to Illinois State Police.

The car then rolled over the median wall into the southbound lanes, police said

Watts, of south suburban Alsip, was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No one else was injured, authorities said.
