A man was shot Monday night in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 27-year-old was walking on the sidewalk at 9:17 p.m. in the 10300 block of South Aberdeen when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police. He was shot in both legs.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.
