Man shot in hand in Fernwood

A 19-year-old man was shot Thursday afternoon in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side.

A few minutes after 1 p.m., the man was shot in the right hand in the 400 block of West 103rd Street, according to Chicago Police. Police initially reported the shooting happened in the 400 block of East 103rd Street.

He was taken in good condition to Trinity Hospital, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
