A teenage boy was shot Friday morning in the Rosemoor neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 11:30 a.m., the 17-year-old was in the 10500 block of South Cottage Grove when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to his left hip, police said. His condition had stabilized.
