A 20-year-old man was shot early Monday in the Bridgeport neighborhood on the South Side.

About 1:45 a.m., he was driving north in the 3300 block of South Morgan when a black SUV pulled alongside his vehicle and someone inside fired shots, striking him in the abdomen, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
