A northwest suburban woman was found dead early Tuesday in the West Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

Officers responded to a call of a person down about 1 a.m. and found 42-year-old Susan Webb lying on the ground, along a fence line in the parking lot of a Target store at 2112 W. Peterson Ave., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Webb, who lived in Park Ridge, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. An autopsy Wednesday didn’t rule on the cause and manner of her death pending further investigation.

Area North detectives were conducting a death investigation.
