A man found shot to death Wednesday night in the East Garfield Park neighborhood has been identified as a Maryland resident.

Officers responding to a call of a person shot about 9 p.m. found 30-year-old Frank M. Noto on a sidewalk in the 700 block of North Trumbull with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and back, Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Noto, who lived in Rockville, Maryland, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:38 p.m., authorities said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
