Man shot in North Lawndale

A man was shot Friday evening in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened at 4:22 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Troy, according to Chicago Police.

The 29-year-old man was shot in the calf and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member.
