A bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon in northwest suburban Schaumburg.

The non-takeover robbery happened at 3:38 p.m. at the MB Financial Bank branch at 1199 E. Higgins Road, according to the FBI.

The robber was described as a white male, about 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds with black hair. He had moles on his face and a prominent mole on the left side of his face at his cheek and nose, the FBI said. He had facial hair and wore a black Burton jacket with the hood up.

The FBI was offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Anyone with information was asked to call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
