Man shot in leg in Austin

A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The shooting happened about 11 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Mason, according to Chicago Police.

The 22-year-old was shot in the leg and taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately available.
